Relocating the windows

In order to relocate the windows it is necessary to drag them to the relocation areas, which are marked as black rectangles in the following picture.
The available relocation areas are always in the windows' edges and are viewed when the mouse is moved dragging the windows over such areas.
In this Columns layout a new container can be created or a window can be moved to another container. (See "Adding a Container to the Desktop")
The window relocation possibilities in a container arranged in Columns Layout are:

  • Moving a window within the same column: To move a window within the same column the window must be dragged up or down to a pile relocation area in the same column. To move a window within the same column, there must be at least two windows in the pile.
  • Move the window to another column: To move the window to another column we must drag it to a pile relocation area in the destination column.
  • Create a new column: The window must be dragged to a column relocation area.
