Transitions represent the cause-effect relationships among groups or objectives.

In the example mentioned above, you may see that the strategic objective "Reduce Distribution Costs" is related to the objective named "Margin per Country".

It is important to bear in mind that in order to add a new relationship you should have previously defined the groups or indicators you wish to relate.

To add a new dependence you need to:

  1. Choose the corresponding button in the Toolbar.
  2. Place the mouse in the center of the origin group or indicator so that the pointer takes the shape of a cross.
  3. Drag the mouse, keeping the left button pressed, until the pointer is over the center of the destination group or indicator.
  4. Release the mouse button so that the dependence is drawn.

Deleting a Transition

You may delete an existing relationship between two indicators. When doing so, only the transition is deleted, whereas the corresponding indicators remain on the map.
There are two ways of deleting a transition:

  • Selecting the transition you wish to delete and pressing the "Delete" key.
  • Using the "Delete" option in the menu that drops down when clicking on the transition with the right button of the mouse.
