Use the Add Measure or Insert Measure command to add a measure.
To add a measure:

  1. Select the Measures branch in the Design tree.
  2. To add a measure after all existing measures, choose the Add Measure command. The measure is added and the Properties pane for the measure displays.

OR
To insert a measure after an existing measure, select the measure and choose the Insert Measure command. The measure is added and the Properties pane for the measure displays.

  1. If the measure is basic, complete the fields on the Description, General, Aggregation and Scope tabs of the property pane. If the measure is derived complete the fields on the Description and General tabs of the property pane.
  2. To apply formatting to the measure, choose the Measure Format button. The Measure Format dialog box displays.
  3. Complete the fields.
  4. Choose the OK button. You return to the Properties pane.

Notes

  • If you add a derived measure, you can review the Operators and Functions for Expressions table when constructing the expression.
  • You can also apply formatting to the numbers. <link to formatting a measure>
  • Changes made in the Property pane apply when you leave the pane or perform another operation in O3 Designer.
