O3 5.0 Licensing Model

General Description

O3's licensing model provides a set of flexible alternatives o take advantage of the product's functionalities required by different types of users.

This model, as shown bellow, provides a way to structure licensing according to the functionality offered by each component. These functionalities have been grouped together in different O3 Editions for simplicity reasons. Each edition offers features for different types of users or different work scenarios.

Following is a list of the components indicating which of those are included in each of the Editions:

O3 editions are the following:

Edition	Description
Standard	Provides the basic characteristics of O3 up to 10 datamarts
Professional	Provides broad capabilities of BI and BPM with no restriction in the quantity of datamarts
Enterprise	Adds a set of features required for large installations.

In order to provide greater flexibility, a given O3 installation can combine users of different editions, therefore a combined editon scheme is possible. Bear in mind that this requires that the O3 Server be licensed with an edition higher or equal to the highest edition of it's users.

For instance, if an installation includes users for the Standard and Professional editions, the server must be licensed as a Professional or Enterprise edition.

Additional Services and Components

O3's platform includes some optional components and services not included in the installation.

O3 Services - ReportCast - automatic delivery of reports via email based on scheduled processes.

- O3 for Analisys Services - provides a connector to interface with Microsoft Multidimensional Engine

O3 Builder - O3 datamart building process. Even though O3 Server includes an instance of O3 Builder, it can be licensed separately for additional boxes.

Update Editions

O3 version 4 customers, with an up-to-date Annual Maintenance Support Aggrement (AMSA) contract, can update to version 5. This update corresponds to a specific edition that provides new characteristics and several improvements, maintaining the modules previously licensed in version 4.
