Use the Generate Cube command to perform a complete cube build.

To perform a complete build:

  1. Select the cube's branch in the Design tree. The Properties pane for the cube displays.
  2. On the General tab, choose the error mode for the build.
  3. If you have more than one input set defined as a full set, select the building input set from the When Building Use Input Set drop-down list .
  4. Choose the File | Generate Cube command. The Save Generated Cube dialog box displays.
  5. Select a directory location and a file name for the cube.
  6. Choose the Save button. The Cube Generation Monitor dialog box displays.
    As the cube build progresses, the information updates.
    When the build is complete the completion status displays and the Cancel button updates to a Close button.
  7. To view a log of the build process, choose the Details button.

(warning) Note
You can only perform complete builds using this method.
The cube name must have a .cube suffix.
The Generate Cube command includes verification of the cube as the first step in building the cube.
The Cube Generation Monitor dialog box displays all messages produced by O3 Builder during the building process including warnings and the final result.
