O3 Browser gives the user the chance to customize the data being analyzed as a result of their queries. This functionality lets you hide non-relevant data for a given analysis, sorting out the result according to their labels or values and display a sub-set of elements in a pre-established sequence.
These are some of the functions that facilitate analysis:
- Going back to the initial view of the cube
- Go to the Top Query
- Show / Hide the Dimensions Explorer
- Show / Hide the elements in the dimensions.
- Display rows or columns with totals
- Display values of the analyzed measure as a percentage
- Customize the labels of the elements in the dimensions.
- Ranking a given dimension to view only the best values obtained.
- Change the type of graph or table
- Swap the X and Series axes
- Hide / Show the grid in different types of graphs.
- Show / Hide values in the different graphs.
- Show / Hide values equal to zero.
- Show / Hide the NaNs (non-numeric values )
- See graphs with two measures.
The following section describes how to perform each of the operations mentioned above.
Going back to the Initial View
O3 Browser gives you the chance to go back to the Initial View of the analysis at any time through a simple click of the mouse, resetting all analysis elements as if the cube or view were re-opened.
In order to achieve this the command "Initial View" in the "Explore" menu, or the corresponding icon on the Toolbar must be chosen.
Show / Hide the Dimensions Explorer
The Dimensions Explorer enables users to see the elements of all of the dimensions organized according to the defined levels of hierarchy, and also the defined set of measures, so as to offer a full view of the multidimensional model to those users who are not yet familiar with its analysis context.
Besides, it provides you with fast ways to perform different drilling operations.
When O3 Browser starts, the Explorer is off. To activate it you must choose the "Display Explorer" command in the "View" menu, or the corresponding icon in the Toolbar.
The Explorer shows the hierarchical levels of the different dimensions as a tree. This structure is updated to indicate the location of the dimension on the X-axis or Series in the case of graphs, and rows and columns in the case of tables.
