You can open the Measure Format dialog box by clicking the Measure Format button. You can apply the following formatting to a measure value using the corresponding tabs:

  • Font
  • Alignment
  • Number

The Font Tab

Field

Description

Font

Choose the font from the drop-down list

Font Style

Choose the font style from the drop-down list

Size

Choose the size from the drop-down list

Color

Choose a predefine font color or create a customized one. The Select Foreground dialog box displays.

Background Color

Choose a predefine background color or create a customized one. The Select Foreground dialog box displays.

The Alignment Tab

Field

Description

Horizontal

Turn on the respective radio button for left, centered or right alignment of the number.

Vertical

Turn on the respective radio button for top, centered or bottom alignment of the number.

The Number tab

Field

Description

Decimal Digits

If you use the Number format type, enter the number of decimal digits to display.

Shows Thousands Separator

Turn this checkbox on in order to display the thousands separator.

Show "not numbers" As

It makes it possible to define a string to indicate non numerical values.

Symbol

To choose a symbol to indicate the unit measured, for example currency, percentage or another one defined by the user. To choose if it is going to be displayed before or after each value.

Sample

A sample of the current formatting displays.

Negative Numbers

Choose a color for displaying numbers with negative values.
Turn on the respective radio button for left, centered or right alignment of the negative number.
Turn on the respective radio button for special formatting of the negative number.
Turn the Bold and italic options on for special formatting of the negative number.
