Standalone Mode

You should use the Open option in the File menu or in the Toolbar to open a cube or view in Standalone mode. These are the steps to be taken:

1. Select the option "Open" in the "File" menu. The dialogue box "Open cube or view" drops down
2. Choose he cube or view to open through the following options:
   1. Enter the name and full path to indicate the location of the cube or view.
   2. Click on the arrow of the menu in the dialogue box and select one of the cubes or views available on the list. The list contains the recently opened cubes.
   3. Use the file system exploration available through the dialogue box when the "File" button is pressed. Select disk unit, folder, and finally the desired cube or view.
3. Press the Open button to go back to the analysis panel where the selected cube or view will be displayed.
   

You may also open a cube or view by using the "Reopen" option in the "File" menu. This option lets you access any of the cubes or views recently used quickly. Picture 2 shows an example where the last 10 used cubes appear.

A password may be assigned at the time of defining the multidimensional model, which will be requested on opening the cube or any view generated from it.

When a view is opened, you must bear in mind that it only contains context information on measures, dimensions, formats, etc., established at the time of saving the view. It also contains a reference to the cube for which it was generated. Thus, the cube should be in the same location it had at the time of creating the view, otherwise you won't be able to open the view, and the following message will show:

"Cube not found for URL: <url>".

It is also possible to open a cube or view automatically when O3 Browser starts*.* In order to do so, the name and access path to the cube or view are defined as a parameter in the command line that opens the application.
