The Explorer gives you a complete view of the cube analysis possibilities, showing the different dimensions that form it and their hierarchies, as well as the defined measures.

In this way, the user beginning to use a new analysis model may promptly discover the analysis options or levels of detail for each dimension.

To facilitate drilling the Explorer shows the cube model like a tree. The branches represent each of the models dimensions, as well as the measures. The sub-trees specify the hierarchy levels in which the elements in each dimension are organized. The leaves of the tree (last level in each sub-tree) stand for the more detailed data for each dimension, on which the rest of the hierarchy is built.

The Explorer lets you select dimensions on the X and Series Axes and determine which measures to analyze.

It is also possible to filter data by selecting a category for a given dimension, or by varying the levels of detail of information. For those dimensions on the analysis axes, this is done through the exploration operations Drill Up and Drill Down, which allows you to navigate the levels in a hierarchy up and down respectively.

The Explorer can be displayed and hidden using the See Explorer command in the View  menu in the menu bar, or the  button in the toolbar. Its use is optional.

The colors and type of font used for labels, categories and elements in the dimensions in the Explorer, let you differentiate the dimensions selected on the axes, the elements of each dimension and the selected measures.
