O3Portal is used to explore and analyze information. Through its intuitive graphic interface it lets you consult all the information at different levels of detail and from different angles.
Just by using the mouse you can select different elements from the analysis panel, "move" data to the analysis axes (a feature known as drag & drop), choose the most adequate graphic presentation according to the type of analysis performed, etc.
O3Portal is the component that lets you analyze the information of datamarts and views in a web browser, withough having to install local components in the users' machines.
This feature has two main advantages:
- It facilitates the high availability of information, as it is possible to analyze the information of datamarts and views from wherever you are. You just need a web browser,(Internet Explorer, Firefox, etc.), an Internet connection, (from outside the organization) and a user with the right permits to access information.
- It allows new users in the organization to access information promptly, for the same reasons mentioned above.
To access the O3Portal just launch the web browser and enter the address given by the system administrator to view information.
