This section describes how to create a new report step by step, using a simple example with data from the Wines cube distributed with the product.

h3. Creating a new Report

Reports can be created in two different ways.
* Starting from a blank page
* Using a predesigned report template. In this case,  the necessary steps to put the report together conforming to a pre established design are suggested .

For the purposes of this tutorial, a blank page is used.
# Seleccione Choose New Report in the File Menu

# Enter my_report.rptdesign as the name of the report
# Select *Blank Report* y finally, press *Finish*

Thus, the new report is available to start placing elements in it.
