*{_}O3 Browser{_}* makes the work of those users performing the same kind of analysis easier, by letting them save the cube configuration to perform such analysis. This means that the type of graph used, the dimensions placed on the axes, the values of other dimensions which will eventually used as filters, the analyzed measures, etc., will be saved as a view of the cube.

Views can be saved through the "Save" and "Save as" options in the "File" menu. The icon "Save As" is also available in the Toolbar

  1. Choose the "Save View" option in the "File" menu. If the view had been saved before, you will be asked if you wish to overwrite it. If so, the view will be saved. Otherwise, if you do not want to overwrite the view, or if it is the first time you have saved it, a dialogue box appears.
  2. Select where the view is to be saved, locally or at the server.
  3. To save the view at the server, choose the option "On the Server" and continue to step 4. To save the view locally, go on to step 7
  4. State if you want to share this view with other users. The possibilities are:
    1. Do not share the view
    2. Share the view with users in the same role
    3. Share the view with all users
  5. Enter the name of the view
  6. Press the "Save" button to save the view or the "Cancel" button to cancel the operation
  7. To save the view to a file, choose "To a file" option and continue from step 5

If you want to keep the view active, and save the changes made in a new view, use the "Save As" option in the "File" menu.
To save a view under another name, follow these steps:

  1. Choose the "Save View As" option from the "File" menu. The "Save View As" dialogue box appears.
  2. Choose where the view is to be saves, locally or on the server. To save the view on the server, choose the "On the Server" option and go on to step 3. To save the view locally, go on to step 6.

The user must bear in mind that if a view is opened, and after queries have been made the "Save" command is used, the changes corresponding to the queries made by the user will be made permanent, thus modifying the original view.
